Michigan is a pennisula state surrounded by water on all sides. In fact
they have more shoreline than the state of California. Michigan fly

streams and Wild and Scenic Rivers are waiting for the angler looking to

Michigan fly fishing really begins to heat up in the spring. Steelhead,
trout, bass, pike are prime targets. Two of the most popular Michigan fly
fishing locations are on Lake St. Clair found in southern Michigan and the
Au Sable River. But don't forget other tributaries and rivers like: Pere
Marquette, Muskegon River, the Manistee, St. Joe and the Betsie Rivers.

Largemouth and smallmouth will readily take a fly on St. Clair and are
great fighters on the fly rod, with the smallmouth bass being a favorite
target. Lake St. Clair is also home to two seperate bass master
tournaments. And if you are after a world record, don't forget to go
after some muskie, they have caught them in the 60 lb. range.
